ポリオレフィンは、その優れた特性から身の回りのいたるところに使用されている有用な汎用樹脂であることに加え、炭素と水素のみからなる低環境負荷型の高分子材料です。本研究室では、ポリオレフィンの高機能化、高性能化に関する研究、中でも遷移金属触媒を用いたポリオレフィンの結晶構造制御、オレフィン系のゲルや液晶のようなソフトマテリアルの合成と特性解析に取り組んでいます。
