本研究室では、次世代通信技術と期待される量子情報科学の理論的研究を行っています。量子情報科学では、原子などの微視的世界に現れる不思議な量子現象を積極的に利用して、超高速計算や無条件安全な暗号、テレポーテーションなど、古典通信では不可能な情報処理が可能となります。また、本研究室では、量子情報から基礎論へのフィードバックとして、量子力学基礎論を研究しています。中でも、近年世界的に注目を集めている、量子力学の原理探求を操作論的な確率論を土台に行っています。
