Laboratory Overview
Urban Planning in the Depopulating Society
Urban planning and architectural form regulation in Japan are main research topics of the laboratory. We are trying to evaluate environmental and social impact of urban redevelopments implemented under Comprehensive Design System or other incentive zoning systems and clarify the concept of land use planning to realize "compact cities" under the trend of depopulation using Geographical Information Systems. We are also interested in establish process of these planning systems applied large developments.
