Laboratory Overview
Extend the life of steel bridges
Many aged steel bridges in Japan are now facing to deterioration problems, such as fatigue and corrosion, and maintenance works for those bridges are urgent issue in Japan. In our lab., we are doing research about the new techologies for the maintenance of those deterioated bridges including repair, retrofit, renewal and maintenance planning, and also for design method to construct high-durability bridges.
