Laboratory Overview
Designing architecture to connect people with nature and social environments
Our lives are closely related to various natural and social environments changing everyday. We carefully perceive variety of environmental information and visualize it utilizing digital tools and an appropriate way of ideation. Furthermore, we will work on architectural design as a problem finding and specific solution. Moreover, SAWADALAB will also practice an active learning making good use of both sides of digital and analog communication, based on e-learning system: Web Learning Studio, that could be able to participate “anytime, anyone, and anywhere.”
Laboratory Character In our laboratory, many students belonging to each department and lab of architectural design from the undergraduate to the graduate school are active, and participate in various architectural designs and community planning projects. With our creed "Do not become one person, Do not leave alone", we will provide a cheerful and vigorous learning place.
