Laboratory Overview
Bridging brain and daily life: invitation to neural engineering
Aim of our research is to uncover the mechanisms of higher-order brain functions by neuroimaging and biosignal measurements. We have been developing the brain-computer interface (BCI) to extract user’s intention or “thoughts” and to enhance user’s brain function. BCI can be used to provide alternative communication methods to patients of severe paralysis or motor neuron diseases. Moreover, we have been developing eyewear to look into yourself by measuring movement of eye and body. This eyewear, JINS MEME can detect user’s mental states like drowsiness, mental fatigue and concentrations. Biosignal measurements to bridge users and daily life is the keyword or our research.
Laboratory Character Students are working with communicating with each other. To do their best to both research and recreation is a motto in the laboratory.
