Laboratory Overview
Extracting useful text information in tourism
Our laboratory is carrying out a research on inbound tourism by using text mining approach. The following research topics have been conducted recently: analyzing word of mouth related to traveling to Japan, multilingualization of websites, and language education in tourism. In addition, developing the measurement system of English proficiency is one of the research themes of this lab. The English test for vocabulary and grammatical knowledge for higher education and workers’ education has been developed.
Laboratory Character If you are interested in promoting tourism for society or finding useful information from text data or data in general, you can find your research theme in this lab. The students who are interested in test development or measurement system for language proficiency are also welcome to join this lab.
