Laboratory Overview
Integration of Brain-Computer Interfaces and Information Communication Technology
We develop systems with integration of Brain-Computer Intrefaces (BCIs) and information communication technology (ICT) and apply the systems to life support systems and entertainment systems. We also study methods for bio-signal measurement and processing, cognitive neuroscience and mathematical modeling as element technology.
Laboratory Character We have developed a compact BCI by combining a compact EEG recorders and a tablet terminal. We integrated the compact BCI with Internet of Things (IoT), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality, Merged Reality technologies. We realized BCI systems for controlling powered wheelchair and electric home appliances with combining AR technology, and BCI systems for VR games, MR games and VR concerts.
